The Challenge
The merger of Sayona Mining and Piedmont Lithium resulted in the creation of North America’s largest hard-rock lithium producer, with the scale and capabilities to power the future. With this leadership came the challenge of creating a name and brand that reflects its scale and long-term vision while strengthening investor confidence and positioning the company as a global leader in the lithium and critical minerals sector.
The Solution
We began by aligning leadership around a shared purpose: providing a secure and reliable lithium supply to power the future. Through stakeholder insights, internal reviews, and competitive audit, we defined a brand direction grounded in responsible growth, disciplined management, and a commitment to people, communities, and the environment.
The name Elevra, formed from the words electricity, elevate, and era, represents a company driving the energy transition forward and rising as a leader in the lithium and critical minerals sector. The visual identity builds on these themes through clean, modern typography, a vibrant colour palette, custom iconography, and dynamic graphics that express energy flow and forward movement.
Elevra’s logo was designed to stand apart from conventional lithium brands by emphasizing lithium’s impact rather than its properties. The energy lines that form the “e-shaped” symbol connect two worlds: topography lines that reference mining and flowing currents that suggest electricity and momentum. The result is a mark in motion, representing a company actively shaping the energy transition.
