The Challenge
When Stephanie LaBelle founded Civita Consulting, she set out to do something different in the world of community relations. With years of experience working with both industry and Indigenous communities, she brought a perspective few others had — one that could build trust on both sides.
The space Civita was stepping into was dominated by two extremes: traditional corporate firms on one side and Indigenous-led consultancies on the other. To stand apart, Civita needed a brand that made its role as a bridge unmistakable, with a presence that was professional, approachable, and rooted in integrity.
The Solution
Inspired by the Latin word Civitas — meaning “community” or “body of citizens” — we built a brand centred on connection. We positioned Civita as a trusted guide for both industry and Indigenous communities, focused on achieving mutually beneficial outcomes. The elegant wordmark features connected letterforms to symbolize two parties coming together, while the dots on the lowercase “i” serve as a visual metaphor for dialogue and collaboration. In motion, these dots animate to connect, adding energy and bringing the brand to life.
At the centre is a website built to establish trust from the first click, guiding two distinct audiences with clarity and purpose, and giving Civita the platform to build lasting partnerships. The brand messaging is clear and empathetic, crafted to resonate equally with industry stakeholders and Indigenous Nations.
